About Me
Hi, I’m Sharon, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve built brands and experiences that create impact, inspire action, and foster a sense of belonging. Whether developing #GivingTuesday or helping scale ZOE into a trusted health brand, my focus has always been on making a difference by creating brands that people truly connect with. I believe that the most powerful brands invite people to be part of something meaningful and lasting.
Early in my career, I was one of Mashable's first hires, headquartering the company out of my NYC apartment. In just five years, I went from Features Editor to COO, shaping everything from editorial strategy to revenue, partnerships, and culture. Along the way, I helped turn Mashable into a global media brand, building a loyal community of more than 25M monthly readers.
While at Mashable, I joined a small group of industry leaders to create and launch #GivingTuesday—a simple yet powerful idea: a day dedicated to giving back. I developed the strategy, rallied my network to get involved, and co-hosted events to bring partners and participants together. And together, we built a global movement that’s mobilized billions for causes worldwide and made giving accessible to everyone.
In 2013, my passion for storytelling, brand-building, and social impact led me to Rachael Ray’s team, where as Chief Digital Officer, I relaunched Rachael Ray Digital, working to expand 12 business lines across media, manufacturing, and philanthropy. What made this work so meaningful was that we donated millions of dollars in profits from consumer products to causes close to Rachael and her community’s heart—animal rescue, and helping kids and families develop healthier relationships with food. And I even learned to cook along the way (thanks, Rach!).
In 2016, I joined The Muse, a company I had long advised, as Chief Content Officer, where I helped build a new kind of job search experience—one where job seekers could find modern job advice and a better, more immersive look at the companies they were interested in. My work focused on growth strategies like SEO and new branded content products to drive acquisition and fuel revenue.
Most recently, in 2021, I joined ZOE as VP Brand Marketing. I led the introduction of its iconic yellow brand, launched ZOE in the UK, and helped grow its membership to over 100K people. I also led the charge on several successful campaigns, including a record-breaking £7M crowdfund from 13K investors, and played a key role in developing the top-charting ZOE Science & Nutrition Podcast.
Throughout my career, I’ve built brands that invite people in, engage them, and make them feel like they’re part of something bigger. Now, I’m excited to bring my experience to a new challenge. Interested in learning more? Let’s connect.
