Building brands people believe in
Turning mission and insight into strategy, storytelling, and culture that drive belief and belonging.
About me
I help mission-driven brands earn trust, drive participation, and grow with purpose. Over the past 20 years, I’ve held leadership roles shaping brand and communications for organizations including ZOE, Mashable, Rachael Ray, and #GivingTuesday, a global movement that has mobilized billions in giving. At ZOE, I helped scale the company into a trusted health brand with more than 100K members, a 300K-person waitlist, and a chart-topping science podcast.
I turn complex ideas into stories people want to be part of, developing narratives, campaigns, and messaging that build belief, strengthen community, and move people to act.
I’ve worked across industries, platforms, and missions—but these are the projects that rise to the top. They reflect the kind of impact I care about and the work I’m proud to lead.
My Work
What Founders Have to Say
-
Pete Cashmore, Founder & Former CEO, Mashable
"Sharon is an exceptional strategist and operator. Her leadership of Mashable’s Editorial, Community, and People functions was critical to its early success. She gets my highest recommendation."
-
Alexandra Cavoulacos, Co-Founder & Former President, The Muse
"Sharon brings a creativity and charisma to any interaction that’s striking. When it comes to content strategy and looking at the digital landscape, Sharon has this ability to zoom out, and really pull together a unified vision... She’s a caring and thoughtful leader, who inspires others and leads with heart."
-
Jonathan Wolf, Co-Founder & CEO, ZOE
“I had the privilege of working with Sharon at ZOE, where she played a key role in shaping our mission and building our iconic brand. She was instrumental in executing major milestones like our UK brand launch (our ZOE logo is all Sharon's!), crowdfund campaign (one of the largest ever in Europe), and podcast launch—each one vital to establishing ZOE’s early success.
Beyond her strategic communications work, Sharon was integral in creating ZOE’s core values, ensuring the company’s culture aligned with its mission. Sharon’s passion for the work and commitment to the team were a huge part of our success—I often joke that she bleeds ZOE yellow, and it’s true. She was a vital part of our journey. She's also an absolutely lovely human being. Any company would be very lucky to have her.”
